Likewise, a joker counts as the fifth ace in some special hands. If a player has an ace, it can be high or low. Depending on the type of poker, a wild card may be used. A wild card is a card that can make a five-card hand, but has no relative rank in the game.
When a player makes a bet, the other players in the pot must match it. During the second and third betting rounds, players can use different betting methods. When the third round of betting concludes, the betting interval is said to be over. The turn passes from player to player, and each active player shows their hand. If a player’s hand is a pair of aces or better, he or she is awarded the pot.
